ITS ALL IN THE DETAILS!

Details Details!
This bookcase shows some coastal themed items.  I like the detail above the mantle that is the same as the details on the wall on the right side or the picture.  This consistency makes allows you to flow from one room to another.
The bead board and the scalloped edge on the top of the bookcase - amazing!
The glass containers that hold shells and the large Cong (not sure of spelling) shells displayed in the bookcase along with the beach pictures and the light colors make this work.
What a great way to use behind your bed.  No side tables required.
Here is another bookcase headboard. Did you notice the grates in behind the pillows?  I am not exactly sure what they would be used for.  Also this bed is surrounded by sheer curtains.
Details of this vanity.
The tile floor
The cabinet feet.
The glass knobs
The door panel fronts
The custom counter top
The glass jars
The soap, q tips and cotton balls in the jars
The burst of color from the red flowers
The matching mirrors.
I would like this in my house!

Inspriational Friday!

Today I thought I would share some stunning homes!

Cuba 2010

The beautiful beach

The view from our room deck

more views from our room

The Island off in the distance

A look at all the cabana's on our beach.

A view from the 3rd floor deck by the gym looking towards the water.
There are 3 other pools.  This is the one near our room.

This is on top of the hot tub, looking towards the beach.
This is the other side of the hot tub looking towards the main entrance of the resort.  You only see 2 floors. There is a 3rd and it is below.
The hot tub was located on the top of a waterfall in the middle of the pool area.
This is our room.  It is very nice and clean.
Something different made on our bed each morning.
Very friendly staff.

Color Me Beautiful!

We see more and more kitchens with colored cabinets.  Here are a few that have inspired me.

Magic

I have always been interested in ways to hide a fridge. I came across this and had to share.

Do you see a nice cabinet or a fridge?

These are all fridges.  Doesn't this make you want one!

My Dancing Queen.

My daughter is 6 and she is taking a Jazz class from Dance Stars Academy http://www.dancestarsacademy.com/
They recently participated in at the Tea House at UPEI.  She is in the green dress.

Bedroom Update # 3

The fabrics are back!  This room is coming together.  I still need to buy a few accessories.  Maybe I need to take a run to Summerside and check out Moving Designz (http://www.movingdesignz.com/) to see what they might have to finish this room off.
I need to find some pictures, install the mirror in the vanity desk, install the light above the vanity, fasten the new counter top and hang the curtains.
